In Peppers
- Check leaf undersides for white masses of eggs and crush them
- if there are small holes chewed in leaves close to fruits, check the fruits for holes, which is a sign that the borers have tunneled into peppers; you will find yellowish-brown larvae inside the peppers
- Bacillus thuringiensis or spinsad may be effective to kill borers if peppers are still less than 1″ in diameter; if the peppers are larger, then the borers will already be inside and sprays won’t affect them (VGPS)
